Setting up Cura for beginner - 2020

Setting up Ultimaker Cura 4.7 for beginner - 2020  About Cura software: Cura is the most commonly used slicer software for FDM 3D printing. It’s an advanced, open-source, and free to use 3D printing CAM software. It has more than 400 different settings to print  3D models. Not only cartesian system printers, but it also supports core - XY, delta printer, etc with great flexibility. Most of the printer specifications are predefined in Cura and also offer to set up custom printers - which one is great flexibility and helps full feature for enthusiastic people who would like to build their own 3D printer!! To install the latest version for windows, mac, or ubuntu, click here . Setting up cura : After downloading and installing cura for your suitable os version, it will show you a similar setting many while opening for the first time. You need to select your FDM printer from the given brand list. If your printer model is not displayed here, don't worry. You can also set up ...

Total Quality Management approaches

Total Quality Management (TQM) is a set of approaches to improve organization quality in different services. Total Quality Management is a direct approach to management for improving the quality of customer service and meeting customer expectations and performance. There are various quality management techniques adopted by different organizations. Some of the major approaches for TQM  given by different quality gurus are as follows. Approaches from different quality gurus Deming approach Juran’s approach crosby’s approach Feigenbaum's approach Ishikawa’s approach Deming approach The best known of the “early” pioneers, is credited with popularizing quality control in Japan in the early 1950s. Today, he is regarded as a national hero in that country and is the father of the world-famous Deming prize for quality. Deming’s 14 Points are as follows: Create constancy of purpose for improving products and services. Adopt the new philosophy. Cease dependence on inspection to achieve qualit...

Brute force

Brute force (also known as brute force cracking) is a trial and error method used by application programs to decode encrypted data such as passwords or Data Encryption Standard (DES) keys, through exhaustive effort (using brute force) rather than employing intellectual strategies. What is the brute force method? In computer science, brute-force search or exhaustive search, also known as generating and test, is a very general problem-solving technique that consists of systematically enumerating all possible candidates for the solution and checking whether each candidate satisfies the problem's statement. What is a Brute-force attack? Brute-force attack when an attacker uses a set of predefined values to attack a target and analyze the response until he succeeds. The most common and easiest to understand example of the brute-force attack is the dictionary attack to crack the password. In this, the attacker uses a password dictionary that contains millions of words that can be used as...

Stress in thin cylinder - Hoop stress and Longitudinal stress.

Cylindrical and spherical vessels are used in the engineering field to store and transport fluids. Such vessels are tanks, boilers, compressed air receivers, pipelines, etc. These vessels, when empty, are subjected to atmospheric pressure internally as well as externally and the resultant pressure on the walls of the shell is nil. But whenever a vessel is subjected to internal pressure(due to air, water, steam, etc.) its walls are subjected to tensile stresses THIN CYLINDERS      A cylinder is considered thin when the ratio of its inner diameter to the wall thickness is more than 15. t/d <= d/10 to d/15 ,  it is called thin cylindrical shell.          t = thickness of the shell,            d =internal diameter of the shell. Boiler shells, pipes, tubes, and storage tanks are treated as a thin cylinder. In a thin cylindrical shell, hoops stress and longitudinal stresses are constant over the thickness and r...

Case hardening (surface hardening) process

The case hardening process is used to harden the outer surface of the material, the inner surface of the material remains soft. hence this process is also called surface hardening. The type of case hardening process is as follows Carburizing Nitriding Cyaniding Carburizing In the carburizing process, specimens are heated beyond the upper critical temperature in sealed containers having an atmosphere of carbon (C). Heating is continued for 4 to 10 hours, depending upon the depth of penetration required. Hence, carbon diffuses into the surface layer. Nitriding The nitriding process is similar to carburizing, but instead of carbon (C), nitrogen (N ₂ ) is used as a hardening agent in nitriding. The nitriding process is carried out in the ammonia atmosphere. The nitriding process requires less temperature compared to carburizing but requires more heating time compared to carburizing. Cyaniding In the cyaniding process, sodium cyanide (NaCN) is used as a hardening agent. Hence both carbon (C...

Pleasing FOOLS

“You never know what a fool you  can be till life gives you the chance.”  Everybody in this world has a natural desire for self-improvement and to rise high. A good way to do it is to learn something new and master it. In everyday life, if you don’t learn something new, you are doing the same work then you are downgrading because you just passed the day, not living it.  There should be hunger in everyone’s mind. Hunger may be for his work, for knowledge. Everyone has curiosity and foolishness for learning and observing in childhood, but while growing only some of us can keep it, others are just following society and their rules without questioning it.  There is always a baby and foolish mind in yourself, which is always curious for anything and always try to learn. In today’s era, many cell phone users never thought about how it works or even some resistance to new things, but at the same time a year, old baby always thinks about turning on and off tube light ...

ENGINEERING ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT MARKET SEGMENTATION (domain: Hindustan Unilever) Concept of market segmentation The concept of a market segment is based on the fact that the market of commodities is not homogeneous but they are heterogeneous. The market represents a group of customers having common characteristics but two customers are never common in their nature, habits, hobbies income, and purchasing techniques. Market Segmentation is a method of “dividing a market (Large) into smaller groupings of consumers or organizations in which each segment has a common characteristic such as needs or behavior.”   Type of segmentation Geographic Segmentation Demographic Segmentation Psychological Segmentation Behavioral Segmentation Geographic segmentation Geographic segmentation divides the market into different geographical units such as nations, regions, states, counties, or cities Region – South India, North, Western Region, East  City – metro cities, cities with ...
